National events and awards

Every year we help around 80,000 fledgling entrepreneurs get started in business across the UK. Every single one of them aims to be a positive influence on their local community. We want to recognise their achievements and improve the environment in which they operate. As part of our local business community programme, we're currently involved in two major initiatives: The Barclays Trading Places Awards, which celebrate men and women who have triumphed over huge odds to set up a thriving business and positively change their lives. UK & Irelands Green Leaders in Business have been recognised in the 2008 Awards. London Better Together, which aims to help businesses make London a better place to do business. Barclays Family Affair, the hunt for the UK’s most enterprising family with Barclays Local Business and Levi Roots.
