How can we obtain a Smartcard Reader?

The engineer will supply the Smartcard Reader on the day of the installation. 

Can we self-install Direct-IP?

In order to ensure that high quality training is provided, self-install isn't an option offered by Barclays. 

Can we continue to use Direct-IP if we cease banking with Barclays?

Yes, providing your new bank agrees. Your Bacstel-IP sponsorship will transfer to your new bank who will issue new Smartcards.

Is AUDDIS supported?

Yes, Automated Direct Debit Instruction Service (AUDDIS) is supported. This automates the passing of Direct Debit Instructions electronically via Bacs, between Originators and the paying banks.

Is the software Bacs approved? 

Yes, both Direct-IP and Direct-IP Bureau software is approved under the Bacs Approved Software Service (BASS).
